John Morton Parlor Resonator Guitar
Made in Port Townsend, Washington, USA
Stock Number: C-1835
Included: Deluxe Arched Hardshell Case
This resonator guitar is built from un-plated stainless steel, which produces a bright full sound with controlled sustain for good separation between notes. Large upper bout openings add complexity to the sound coming directly off the cone. It works well for playing in standard tuning across several keys, as in ragtime or jazz. An added bonus: stainless steel requires no maintenance! And of course, resonator instruments are designed to be loud!
The Morton Parlor models are comfortable to play, with a modern neck profile. Lighter than other metal guitars, they have an ergonomic design that puts the balance point at the waist of the guitar. The neck features an adjustable 2-way truss rod and an ebony fingerboard. The tuning pegs are Waverlys with ebony buttons. Everything else is entirely made by John Morton, with no parts off the shelf. An arched hard shell case is included.
