John Morton Parlor Brass Single Cone Resonator Guitar

John Morton Parlor Brass Single Cone Resonator Guitar

This resonator guitar is made from nickel-plated brass, which produces a bell-like tone with long sustain. The sound is particularly beautiful with open tunings, but brass has always been popular for fingerstyle blues and ragtime, as well as Hawaiian slide. Large upper bout openings add complexity to the sound coming directly off the cone. And of course, resonator instruments are designed to be loud!

The Morton Parlor models are comfortable to play, with a modern neck profile. Lighter than other metal guitars, they have an ergonomic design that puts the balance point at the waist of the guitar. This guitar has a rigid hard maple neck with ebony fingerboard, but also features a concealed 2-way adjustable truss rod, accessible from underneath the cover plate. The tuning pegs are Waverlys with ebony buttons. Everything else is entirely made by John Morton, with no parts off the shelf. An arched hard shell case is included.
